A never ending story...

I've dabbled a bit in pattern before but only through my stencil and printmaking books. I have never actually designed my own pattern that could be used as fabric or notebooks say. 

Henceforth I have come up with a few designs that are relatively simple yet awfully sweet :) 

I have thing for birds at the mo (mo meaning my whole life!) and so I thought I would incorporate some birdy designs that I would love to see thrown onto pillows and mugs and what not around my house.

J'adore Ma Bicyclette!

One of my ingenious friends Nicola semple decided recently that she wanted to set up a blog that would be a mixture of all of our friend's skills and talents. And that it would be an all round blog that specializes in everything from art and music to just life in general! 

Thus Ma Bicyclette was born!

So go and check it out, it is just getting started but we all have our own little parts to play and guess too which lucky son of a gun had the pleasure to write their blog topic on valentines day? Felt Mountain Studios non the less!  So go and check it out, it has huuuuge potential! :D

Happy Valentines day all! 

Whatever your plans today- be it a fancy dinner for two, a tub of ice cream for one, or if your working all day (like me) today is the day to let your heart free and do its thing!

So Tell your partner how foxy they are, 

Tell the ice cream guy how much you dig them,

Or tell yourself your looking pretty fly today... 

And when words don't work, you can always say it with an owl :)

Pentagon Party

I really like it when people use shapes in their work, sort of giving a retro/ 80's feel. It looks really effective yet its so simple! So of course I though Hey why not give it a go myself?

So using some of my fave pics I came up with these... 

One artist I really like is Citoyennes du Berlin (http://www.etsy.com/shop/Citoyennes) which I came across in my Etsy Shop. She really has got some ace talent

and certainly inspired me on the shape front. I really like the cute whale design, and she does more too with clouds and apples galore. Check her out, you'll love it :)
