Felt Mountain Studios was set up by me, Stephanie Bertenshaw, an artist and designer currently living in Marsden, West Yorkshire.
Not long after the business began, it was soon joined by my partner (in crime) Gareth Cotter, a smashing furniture maker and fellow creative.
As a duo we have been working for sometime on a personal project, converting some disused garages into a beautiful little home for us. And this is exactly where our the inspiration for our business began. Making something as beautiful as a house out of nothing but a few pieces of wood and some reclaimed stone has taught as a fair few things about what you can do when happiness is on your side.
So now between us, we have designed a variety of works aiming to combine 'Happy Art' and a 'Happy Home.' Both of which are the leading factors in our life.
I am the art and design side, with a range mixing uplifting designs, quotes and patterns of generally lovely things with a retro twist. And I like to put them on anything from prints and postcards to cushions and ceramics, so they can be enjoyed anywhere you do so choose!

We are both available for personal commissions, but if you are a budding business, I also run the 'Create Yourself' business commissions side that aims to reignite and enchant whatever your soul passions are and remove the fears that prevent you from getting them out there!
I do this by working closely with local people and businesses to create the perfect advertising products that can get their work seen and known! As I truly believe it is more important now than ever to create happy and content lives for ourselves, doing a job that we are passionate about- whatever that may be!
And this is exactly what 'Create Yourself' is all about.
